Résumé

The study verified whether or not students of Economics faculty at Saida University are ready to learn English autonomously, as a requirement to enter global labor market. Results show that Students are motivated, usage of Meta-cognitive strategies is high, Students are aware of their own and their Teachers’ responsibilities, in addition to some differences that must be taken into account such as age and gender. We recommend Students to be aware of their abilities; teachers should involve their students by changing the information flow.
