Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the optimal inventory policy In the case of dynamic demand, by determining the optimal order quantity and number per year, to avoid the accumulation of stocks, risk exposure such as damage and obsolescence, enterprise deficit due to depletion of inventory. The Wagner-Whitin algorithm is used to solve dynamic programming problems to find the optimal decision of quantity and demand determination that reduces the ordering and holding costs. We found that the application of this algorithm at M’sila Kadhi Mills, using both Excel 2013 and WinQsb 2.0, has actually reduced the total costs of the stock by half, which in turn will be reflected positively on the profitability of the enterprise
